Patent Attorney Dallas Office

Conley Rose, P.C. is a leading intellectual property law firm with offices in Dallas, Houston, Austin and Fort Collins, Colorado. Our Dallas office is currently seeking an experienced patent attorney.

The ideal candidate should have a B.S. in electrical engineering or computer science and have at least three (3) years experience in the preparation and proscecution of patent applications in the electrical and telecommunication arts. The candidate should prefereably be licensed in Texas and be registered with the U.S. Patent Office. Experience with foreign prosecution, preparing written opinions for patents, client counseling and related transactional work is desirable.

PATENT LEGAL ASSISTANT/PARALEGAL OPENINGS

Trademark Paralegal

Conley Rose, P.C. is an intellectual property law firm with offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin. Our Dallas office is currently seeking an experienced trademark paralegal. Candidates should have at least five (5) years of U.S. trademark prosecution experience. Experience in trademark litigation support, including proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Office Trial and Appeal Board, is also desired.

Specific responsibilities of this position include conducting preliminary trademark clearance searches and ordering comprehensive trademark searches; preliminary evaluations of trademark search results; preparing U.S. trademark applications, including drafting descriptions of goods and services; preparing responses to office actions; post-registration tasks; and drafting correspondence to clients reporting on status of their trademark matters. Trademark litigation support includes case management, discovery and trial preparation tasks, and the filing of pleadings with the U.S. Trademark Office Trial and Appeal Board.

Trademark Prosecution Secretary

Conley Rose, P.C. is an intellectual property law firm with offices in Dallas, Houston and Austin. The Dallas office is currently seeking an experienced trademark prosecution professional secretary. The position is to assist attorneys with the prosecution and maintenance of domestic and international trademarks. Candidates should have at least three years of U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution experience.

Responsibilities would include, but would not be limited to, assistance in all aspects of U.S. trademark prosecution, including conducting preliminary trademark clearance searches, filing trademark applications, selecting specimens, drafting responses, and handling post-registration tasks; assistance in all aspects of foreign trademark prosecution, including preparing correspondence to and maintaining communications with foreign counsel; preparing correspondence to the client; and substantively reviewing and updating the domestic and foreign trademark prosecution docket.

Experience with the following would be helpful: (1) support for trademark litigation cases, including case management, discovery and trial preparation tasks and the filing of pleadings with the U.S. Trademark Office Trial and Appeal Board; (2) support for domain name dispute proceedings; (3) merger and acquisition due diligence investigation and reporting; and (4) assimilation of transferred files into file management systems.

Trademark Prosecution Paralegal

Conley Rose, P.C. is an Intellectual Property firm with offices in Houston, Dallas, Austin and Fort Collins, CO. Our Houston office is seeking a trademark paralegal. Specific responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, preparing U.S. trademark applications and handling all subsequent phases of prosecution; instructing and supervising non-U.S. trademark prosecution and renewals; handling of both domestic and foreign trademark post-registration issues; arranging for the execution, authentication and legalization of formal documents required for trademark administration, including trademark applications, assignments and powers of attorney; docketing trademark deadlines including data entry, running reports, working to ensure integrity of the trademark database; providing ongoing project support to other docketing team members as needed; ensuring docketed deadlines are met in a timely manner; reviewing monthly docket and anticipating work required to meet deadlines; providing trademark litigation support including docketing and the filling of pleadings with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Requirements: Must have a minimum of 6+ years of trademark experience with strong background in US and international trademark portfolio management, prosecution, docket management and docketing; and report generation,
Docketing knowledge and experience with CPI ideal but not mandatory
Extraordinary attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and strong work ethic
Extremely motivated, energetic, able to work well independently and as part of a team
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational, project management, and computer skills
