Trademark Paralegal

Candidates should have at least five (5) years of U.S. trademark prosecution experience. Specific responsibilities of this position include conducting preliminary trademark clearance searches and ordering comprehensive trademark searches; preliminary evaluations of trademark search results; preparing U.S. trademark applications, including drafting descriptions of goods and services; preparing responses to office actions; post-registration tasks; and drafting correspondence to clients reporting on status of their trademark matters. The position is to assist attorneys with the prosecution and maintenance of domestic and international trademarks. Candidates should have at least three years of U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution experience.

Responsibilities would include, but would not be limited to, assistance in all aspects of U.S. trademark prosecution, including conducting preliminary trademark clearance searches, filing trademark applications, selecting specimens, drafting responses, and handling post-registration tasks; assistance in all aspects of foreign trademark prosecution, including preparing correspondence to and maintaining communications with foreign counsel; preparing correspondence to the client; and substantively reviewing and updating the domestic and foreign trademark prosecution docket.
