Mr. Scott specializes in complex patent prosecution and related
litigation. In particular, Mr. Scott has significant experience
in the electronic and computer-related arts, including computer
software, computer hardware, microprocessor design and operation,
tape systems and magnetic memory. Mr. Scott also assists the
Firm's oil field service company clients in litigation matters
and prosecution of United States and foreign patents for downhole
technologies such as mud pulse telemetry, acoustic logging
tools, hydraulic permeability testers and electromagnetic
resistivity tools. Further, Mr. Scott counsels clients in
all aspects of intellectual property law including trademarks,
copyrights, trade secrets and foreign patent matters.
Mr. Scott is admitted to practice before the United States
Patent and Trademark office, the United States District Courts
for the Southern District of Texas, and all Texas State Courts.
