Gayatry Nair is a seasoned intellectual property attorney who focuses on the preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications. She also provides counseling, guidance, and advice related to patents and patent portfolios for a diverse group of clients.

Gayatry’s practice and experience span a variety of fields and industries, including computer science, electrical engineering, computer systems and software, electrical devices, telecommunications, networking, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, blockchain applications, data security, user interfaces, media and common technology, image analysis, memory management, business methods, electronic commerce, enterprise security, mechanical arts, manufacturing, seismic, medical, and many other industries.

In addition, she drafts patent validity opinions, non-infringement opinions, patent licensing agreements, nondisclosure agreements and assignments, and provides counseling and representation on these matters.

Gayatry also prosecutes trademark and trade dress applications for a wide variety of clients. Her trademark and trade dress practice includes counseling on the selection, use, and filing strategies for trademark applications.

She is currently a Board Member of the South Asian Bar Association of Dallas, and an active member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) where she participates as a member of AIPLA’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and the Electric and Computer Law Committee.

Gayatry received her J.D. from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia, where she also earned a certificate in Transactional Law and Skills. She received her undergraduate degree in computer science from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

During law school, she participated in externships at NCR, Inc., and the Coca Cola Company, where she worked on various intellectual property and corporate transactional matters. Prior to joining Conley Rose, P.C., she worked as an associate for a boutique intellectual property law firm in Atlanta.

Gayatry is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of Georgia.
