Jerry Harris advises clients on a broad range of patent and trademark matters, with a focus on developing and protecting intellectual property assets that support their business objectives. His practice includes patent preparation and prosecution, patent litigation, invalidity and freedom-to-operate analyses, and the development and implementation of international intellectual property strategies.

Jerry has represented both patent owners and parties accused of infringement, giving him experience across the patent lifecycle, from preparation and prosecution through litigation. This perspective helps him identify potential issues early and develop practical intellectual property strategies that consider each client’s business objectives and competitive position.

His patent experience spans a range of technologies and industries, including computerized business methods, polymer compositions, and small molecules. Jerry has particular experience with patent eligibility issues under 35 U.S.C. § 101 and works with clients to pursue broad and commercially valuable patent protection while keeping business considerations at the center of patent strategy.

In addition to patent and trademark matters, Jerry advises clients on invalidity, freedom-to-operate, and international intellectual property strategy. His prior experience as an adviser to the NFL Players Association also contributes to his experience negotiating intellectual property and other business matters.
